An American photographer living in New York who started his career as a photographer in 1998. In 2003 McGinley was one of the youngest artists to have a solo show at the Whitney Museum of American Art. He was named Photographer of the Year in 2003 by American Photo Magazine. He received the Young Photographer Infinity Award In 2007.
