Nobuyoshi Araki is a Japanese photographer and contemporary artist. He is also known by the nickname Arākī. After publishing over 350 books by 2005, and counting, Araki is considered one of the most prolific photographer alive or dead in Japan or even around the world. Much of his work is erotic in nature; some works have been called pornographic. In 2008, he was awarded the Austrian Decoration for Science and Art.
