Vanessa Beecroft's is conceptual as well as aesthetic. Her performance art is often involves live female models, often nude. At her performances, video recordings and photographs are made, to be exhibited as documentation of the performances, but also as separate works of art. Her performances are not without controversy especially the treatment endured by her models. Beecroft has had numerous exhibtions in Europe and the US.
