An American photojournalist best known for his National Geographic photograph "Afghan Girl" which was actually taken in a refugee camp near Peshawar. He has been an iconic voice in contemporary photography for more than thirty years, his images appearing on many magazine and book covers. He has published more than a dozen books and has had numurous exhibitions around the world.
