No. 39
South African photographer Roger Ballen has been shooting black and white film for nearly fifty years. He considers Black and White to be essentially an abstract way to interpret and transform what one might refer to as reality.
His purpose in taking photographs over the past 40 years has ultimately been about defining myself. To him it has been basically a psychological and existential journey.
He has published 11 books and his work is included in many of the world's most prestigeous museums.
