New York native Alicia Keys attended the prestigious Professional Performing Arts School and in 1997 was accepted to Columbia when she was just 16. She eventually dropped out to record music, gaining acclaim for hits like "If I Ain't Got You," "Fallin'," and "Empire State of Mind."
