Key to be SUCCESSFUL

The key to acquiring what you want in life is change, but to initiate that change you need that belief to change first. So how do you change your belief? I’ll get to that soon; a little more understanding is needed first. Belief is wired into your subcortical brain, your subconscious mind. Your brain wires in belief by association that is between pleasure, right and wrong, and pain. When change is hard, you just don’t associate enough pain from where you are to make permanent change – yet. Instead, you’re relying on self-control for change. You see, change has two vehicles, one can happen instantly and the other through self-control.

Here’s an example of instant change. If a friend has talked behind your back, you will instantly link pain (emotional pain) with that now ex-friend. This happens instantly because you had a strong emotional reaction to the news – that person has now been taken off your friends list in your brain’s synapses, instantly changing the relationship category in your brain via a strong emotional response.

The second is simply explained, you create the change you want over time through repeated and deliberate thoughts and importantly; actions that eventually re-wire the change into your subcortical processes. This is how habits form, good or bad.

So in a nutshell, you need to re-wire the belief in your brain before the change can happen. Just by thinking or wishing isn’t enough. You have two options, and one is self-control and habit over time. The second is through associating enough pain to remaining the same. But, the second has some laws you must adhere to.
