Joseph Gordon-Levitt, made famous for his role on hit TV show "Third Rock from the Sun," took a break from acting to attend Columbia in 2000, where he studied history, literature, and French poetry. In his fourth year, just shy of graduating, he dropped out and went back to acting full-time.
