Candida Höfer (born 1944) is a German photographer based in Cologne (GER) and a former student of Bernd and Hilla Becher. Like other Becher students – Axel Hütte, Andreas Gursky, Thomas Struth and Thomas Ruff – Höfer's work is known for it's technical impeccability and a strong conceptual approach. She taught as a professor at the Hochschule für Gestaltung, Karlsruhe from 1997 to 2000. Höfer's works are represented in important collections worldwide.
