A student in the School of General Studies, Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Sandy Koufax took classes in physics, architecture, and graphics in 1955 before becoming one of the most famous ball players of all time — and, in 1963, "one of the best paid among former students of the school."
