The automobile giant Toyota in Japan has reportedly recalled its 650,000 cars over faulty airbags issue. This can be seen as an extension of similar occurrence which took place last year.  The first recall was in April 2013 which included 1,830,000 cars traded in foreign soils.
According to Toyota, the passenger airbag inflators of the recalled vehicles were prepared from faulty parts. The company through a statement expressed that inappropriately made propellant wafers runs the risk of rupturing the inflator causing the passenger airbag at the front to emerge abnormally during a crash.
Japan based supplier, Takata Corporation are the manufacturers of the airbags. Toyota expressed that the recall was extended to other cars as Takata has not given the entire list of the infected serial numbers. In totality as much as 2796000 cars were recalled on the airbag issue. Shino Yamada, a company representative said that Toyota has issued 22 recalls internationally this year.
