Art by Alexander Milov

Art by Alexander Milov. Photographed at Burning Man.
There is a child inside all of us. A child who continues to reach out towards hope and healing. The child part of us that believes that security and safety is out there, even when we haven't always experienced it.
This is a reminder that no matter how much you might want to turn away, your light is always most ignited and hopeful when you turn towards. When you step into your vulnerability and surrender.
I know life can get heavy at times. I know unhealed parts can get re-wounded over and over again and make us doubt in a life safer than this...doubt in people who care. We see our patterns and find ourselves declaring "this always happens." We carry all of our hurt with us year after year, and too often, don't do anything with it other than avoid and burry it. That contributes to an outer shell that has to protect itself by turning its back on everyone. That gets us nowhere.
Pay attention to that child. Don't abandon yourself. Don't avoid yourself. Stop sending yourself the message that your story doesn't matter, and that your hurt and pain can't be healed. It can. But it takes your attention. It takes your commitment. It takes deliberate time to look inwardly and hold your inner child tight. Be the person you needed when you were younger." -Vienna Pharaon@mindfulmft👈
